Young Lives 5k and Tot Trot

W.A. and I had a GREAT day today!  We started our day at 5:30am in preperation for our first race!  Young Lives is a Christian Ministry in the Fredericksburg Area for teenage mothers.  Learn more about this fabulous ministry at http://www.younglife.org/

I ran the 5K with W.A.'s special Auntie Jenn (aka, FunJen) and all three of us finished up the tot trot!  Although none of us placed, we got out of the bed early on a Saturday morning to run for fun...something FunJen and I thought we would NEVER do.  We joked that we should go back and tell our 20-something selves that "one day you'll be getting up to run 3 miles for fun at the crack of dawn on a Saturday".  This is hilarious because: Auntie FunJen and I drank beer at 9:30am one Super Bowl Sunday morning while watching a bunch of old (meaning 40-45 yr olds.) dudes play flag football!
